Welcome to the Millport Trip page
Day Trip to Millport - 2010
The annual day trip to Millport will take place on Saturday 29th May 2010, to which all boys are eligible to attend. A payment of £10 per boy towards the cost of this trip is required.
The method of payment is to put a cheque or cash in an envelope marked with your son’s name and “Millport”.
Final date for payment will be Friday 30th April 2010.
All the boys should meet at the Church at 08.00 for a departure to meet a designated ferry, and we will return at 21.30 hours at night, so your continued support in being on time at both ends of the day would be appreciated.
Uniform Polo Shirts and Sweatshirts must be worn (for identification purposes) but all other clothing need only be smart, but casual. No badges are required to be worn.
The coach will transport all the boys directly to and from Millport and so no contact with the ferry is made, and whilst on the island, the boys are moved in orderly fashion to and from all locations to be visited. Although the boys are allowed on the beach under supervision, at designated times and locations, they are not allowed in the water, and during the cycling trip, only those experienced enough to ride a two wheeler bike for 10 miles are allowed to take part in this exercise. (The exercise is for the Leaders!!) All other boys will be involved in another activity at this time, but due to supervision requirements, no skivers can join this group if they are just too lazy to ride the bikes, as has been attempted in recent years.
All transport costs, tea, bike hire, and ice cream is included in the £10 cost and therefore no other money is required on the day except spending money, which we recommend should be limited to £10 maximum.
Each boy should have with him a packed lunch, a hand towel, change of socks, jumper, tee shirt and trousers, in the event of inclement weather and this should all be carried in their BB bag or other style, all suitably identified with name thereon.
No moblie phones, games, books or toys of any description, should be brought by any boy.
Please note that the BB cannot be held responsible for the loss of any personal items howsoever caused, and therefore care should be taken to identify all personal belongings on this occasion.
If you have any questions regarding this outing please do not hesitate to ask.
